ok 3 phases
phase 1: chick cleans the pools at the left and right side. we follow her and kill adds as quick as we can.
phase 2 tricky bit. balrog gets free. everyone except a couple people stand on the little glowing thing in the center of the room. ranged dps if possible on the balrog. the other people run into the 2 rooms on the left and the right and root the mobs in there, pull the lever and run out as fast as possible. another was is for a champ to run into either room and run back out, dragging the mobs with them and having the entire raid kill them before going back in and pulling the levers. once the levers are pulled get out immediately as if you get trapped you will die and cant be res'd note: during this time i was grabbed by something and flung past the balrog. may be fear related. just be advised.
after the levers are pulled the doors go down and the back room opens with the ever-seer. the main tank then jumps down, and tanks the balrog with a healer helping out. if the elf chick jumps down too the main tank needs to position how the balrog is facing the main tank so the elf chick is hitting the balrog's left ankle. the rest of the raid (minus a heals and main tank) go after the ever-seer. the off tank tanks the ever-seer with his back to the wall between the giant wheels. tank n spank while taking care of the darklings crawling to the 2 holes between the pillars.
phase 3: after the ever-seer dies, hope is wiped. everyone needs to gather back together and use a hope token. then everyone dps the balrog. meleers need to hack at the ankles of the balrog. that way they avoid the front aoe and the tail swipe. at this point is the elf chick hasnt jumped down, now she will. the main tank needs to turn, so the elf chick is also hacking at the balrogs heel/ankle. minisrks can position themselves so they are standing on the white light thing. ranged dps then needs to be up on the walkway halfway between the ever-seers room and the entrance door so the heals can reach if need be. otherwise, tank n spank go all yellow on cjs after his health goes below 175k. (higher then that he has a cj immunity). At approximately 115k he will do a Baleful Roar, wiping hope again. (i suggest having 1 person from each fellowship know who has tokens and who has used one and tell a specific person to pop one. also suggest everyone has at least 2. 1 for event of death and need to remove dread and another for when someone elses is on a CD) Once his morale reaches 50k comes the biggest raid wiper. every 30-60 sec balrog will jump in the air for ~10 sec if he lands within 20 yards of you, YOU WILL DIE. when he jumps, call it out! everyone jumps up on the ledges and/or runs away till he lands. At 15k, use a conjunction on him and go all yellow and then all out burn him as fast as possible. at 10k he will turn and try and kill the elf lady. taunt the heck out of him, grab his attention. beat the rest of him and then we put a massive sword in the kin front yard.
ok vidster really sugested song of the hopeful heart. cast it around the meleers and they get 5(?)min of a bit extra hope (dont really know how that works)
we nearly beat the balrog with 7 people we can certainly do it with 12

When I did it, we beat him with 10 me as the only true healer, had 2 cappies to assist tho, and I was dead through most of the balrog fight.

Everyone who got into the ara for the 2nd part died, including bat and me.

the balrog was killed by the 65 guard, a cap and a 3rd one that was left behind when we got into the Ever-seer room.

The plan, as of right now, is for me to be home tonight as teaching this morning totally exhausted me. so, I might be around to give it a go. Dunno.

My Alt, Manwolf was in the group that took the Balrog down the first few times when we were level capped at 50. You have a Burg in the fight? At 10k have the burg toss a CJ just to interupt him and burn his butt down. Have someone calling his jumps and just accept the randomness of his deaths. Obviously keeping your tanks Hope up and alive is key. Now that 65's can fight him I dunno what changes to the strat there are, but Aratha's strat is about right.

Remember to interuprt the Overseer whenever he squats.

Hope tokens and even buying some hope is worth a thought. If I can log in and join you guys with Manwolf I will. Good luck!
